Calallen Wildcats Find the Way to beat the Pesky Flour Bluff Hornets 7-6 and in the 7th Inning. Just let the Hornets pitch, and walk the Calallen Batters, then call #17 Ryan Duke, (the young man who beat GP in the 8th Inning.) And let him blast away with bases-loaded, and Wildcats trailing 6-4. Ryan drilled a flyball all the way to the fence, and reset the bases. How sweet it is.

The Thriller: A 7-6 come from behind win for the Calallen Fightin' Wildcats.

On a cool Saturday Afternoon, #8 Brandon Key got the nod to start.	In the third, with the flying Hornets in the lead 1-0, #7 Ryan Miller steps up and drills a triple. -- Chip Nance on his sacrificial fly brought Ryan home to score. Game tied 1-1, Luke drilled a sacrificial fly and Jeremy Marek came in to score Wildcats 2-1, But, an out before the run, was ruled and the run was cancelled by the home umpire. The score remains tied at 1-1.
Top of the 4th, the Invading Hornets from Flour Bluff stung the Wildcats big time! Scoring five runs and going through 3 or so Wildcat pitchers. What did the Barber say? Next! Coach Steve "State Champ" Chapman next pitcher selection was #17 Sophomore Ryan Duke. Outstanding selection!	Bottom of the 6th Inning, Jacob's double brought Randy Houghton in. Score 6-2. Now, it was #17 Ryan Duke at bat, drills a stand-up double, and brings Jacob in. Wildcats fighting to stay alive. 6-3 after 6 innings -- one more to go. Will the Wildcats survive?
Bottom of the 7th Inning. It's time to do or die. Daniel Alonzo draws a walk. Good, one on, and no outs.	#22 Luke McCall, catcher, works the pitcher and gets a Walk, 2 on, nobody out.
#13 ever-dangerous Randy Houghton works on the pitcher, and he too, gets a Walk, with no one out.	#30 Senior Jacob Kaup. a big target at the home plate, the Hornet were in trouble when they issued Jacob a free pass, which brought #21 Daniel Alonzo home from third. Wildcats 4 The Bluff 6. Nobody out. Things were looking brighter -- the Hornets in the Hive lost the last of their Buzz!
Up step the Calallen Kid, the sophomore, the potential district "Newcomer," Ryan Duke, #17, The Hornets changed their pitcher, and got 2 strike on the Calallen Kid, but the kid was now ready, he knew all it takes is one -- Slam A Triple! Cleared the Bases, the Crowd roars! The Wildcats win in the bottom of the 7th inning. Wildcats 7 Hornets 6. And still with nobody out.	The Wildscats were aesthetic. One beautiful scene of Winners.
Ryan Duke was congratulated by the rest of the Fightin' Wildcats.	Let's analyze the scoreboard, We had more runs 7-6, we had more hits 5-3, and Ugh! we had more errors 3-1.(That will be discussed in the post game de-briefing. Batter: #17 Ryan Duke, and he had 2 balls and 2 strikes, when he let loose with the shot heard over at Popeye on Farm 624. This game is known as "Winning Ugly."

The first Calallen Kid, Jason Duke, 2nd Calallen Kid Ryan Duke, and Dad Larry was a Texas Tech Kid. All Three are just super pitchers.	The dynamic quad: Roxanne, Coach Chapman, Bridget and Coach Rudy Salinas.
Mom and daughter, Larry's granddaughter a possible future softball pitcher, pitching runs in their family.	Another outstanding pitcher is #1 Chip Nance, and his dad, Michael Nance.
"Doc" uses the wrap tool to attached the ice pack on Ryan's arm. roll -- roll!	#2 Wes Callihan and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Sizemore.

Freshman #26 Jeremy Marek scores. Everyone is looking at the action at First, whatever it was, the run was nullified. The score tied 1-1.	The Hornet sent the Wildcats' outfield clear to the fence. The Hornets went hog-wild, oops, excuse me, Hornet-wild; they pushed 5 big runs against the Fightin' Wildcats, at the End of the 4th Inning. The Bluff 6 Wildcats 1.
I believe this is where Luke overthrew to Ryan Miller on 3rd in an attempt to get the runner. The Wildcats were jinx in that 4th Inning.	Finally, the nightmare ends. Hornet 6-1. Luke returns to the inning debrief.
Bottom of the 4th, #13 Randy Houghton pop-up -- Out.	Jacob, Lefty, Kaup grounds out. Ryan Duke flies out -- 3 up and 3 down for the Wildcats.
Cory Walks and is on First.	#1 Chip Nance draws a Walk, Cory moves to 2nd base.
#22 Luke McCall is hit by the baseball and jogs to First.	The Home Umpire disagrees, and brings Luke back. Luke flies out.
6-1 Wildcats trailing at the bottom of the 6th. A few non-believer have departed the scene, thinking the Bluff is going to win. #13 Randy Houghton gets it started -- Base Hit!	Randy H. steals 2nd Base.
Jacob "Lefty" Kaup drills out a hit -- a stand-up double, and #13 Randy Houghton comes on home. 6-2 The Bluff.	6-2 as Randy scores.
#17 Ryan Duke drills his first critical hit and drives #30 lefty Kaup home. 6-3 The Bluff.	#7 Ryan Miller hits a grounder and is thrown out.
#9 Cory Shick draws a walk. Two runners stranded in the bottom of the 6th inning.	A Hornet strikes out. Ryan Duke is still going strong.
Abbey doing it all today. Mallory, Kellyn and Melissa took the day off. They deserve it, hard workers.	Wildcat wins, as explained in large photos above. Sportmanship and traditional Handshake. The Hornet played a good 5 innings, but Calallen played best in the last two innings.
