Calallen High School 2005 Seniors end their Regular and District High School Career by beating the Gregory-Portland Team 15-2. (Next District- Playoff against Robstown, and the Region and State Playoffs.) Seniors - Take your Team all the way to State!

#1 Chip Nance on the mound today. Wins handily, 15-2 Chip scattered nine hits and more important captured a tie for First Place. in District 31-4A.	#21 Daniel Alonzo runs after a pop-up, lunges, grabs the ball for the out, and somersaults on the grass. Cool!
Wes Callihan slides in to score a run.	Chip fires the curve ball, and it was in there for a strike.
Good Crowd on hand, Many are members of the Baseball Booster Club.	#4 Jonathan Vest drills his 3rd home-run of the season in the Fourth Inning. Calallen Wildcats 6 GP 0.
The Chip and Luke Show, Chip gets the victory, WP with 8 strike-outs. -- The Calallen Wildcats ripped through GP pitchers: Jared Schrom, Tyler Mickets, and Casey Allen.

#23 Jared Schrom is the starting pitcher for the GP Wildcats.	Cory Shick #9, goes in for #22 Luke McCall who just drew the Walk.
#30 Jacob "The California Kid" also draws a Walk. After Jacob, Ryan Duke drilled a hit which scored #9 Cory Shick, and the Wildcats, the real ones, were on the board, 1-0.	Great pickoff by Chip and Jacob, and Jacob tagged #6 for the 3rd out of the inning. " Purty" Play!
Here is "once Calallen Bat-boy turned into Varsity Wildcat" Wes Callihan drilling a Single. He went 3 of 5 tonight. Way to Contribute Big Wes.	#15 Sean Hoelscher jogs to first base on a Walk.
#8 Brandon Key drills it through the hole, and #2 Wes comes home, sliding across the home plate.	Pitcher Schrom walks #4 Jonathan Vest. He knows about Jon as a hitter. Capable of drilling the long one.
The great Luke grounds out.	But, Calallen gets another runs, #15 Sean Hoelscher comes on home to score.
"Lefty" Jacob Kaup, Alvin Jr. College bound, drills a Single, and knocks #8 Brandon Key in to score. Jacob's big brother played in the minors. and Lefty sure has the tools to make it too.	#8 Brandon Key comes in and SCORRRR-EE-SSS!
#13 Randy Houghton belts a single...,	Sprinting home is # 9 Cory Schick. Durn good speed for the young 'un.
A rarity, Ryan Duke goes down swinging. BTW Ryan, I ran into a Scott Ferguson in San Antonio, your ex-buddy from Calallen Elementary (5th Grade.) Small World.	No doubt about it. Chip Nance with his high kick is a competitor.
Another look at the crowd, hmmm, only one is point that Calallen is #1, Can you find that person?	Calallen Teens always have fun when supporting any sport.
Another GP Cat strikes out. When I show a person walking to the dug out that means I had the camera in defensive mode trying to catch Cory, Daniel, or Jacob make the out.	And then, other times, I aim at the batter when he has strike two -- Make That Strike Three!
Melissa has been a big help to the fightin' Wildcats. And two of her friends.	#8 GP trying to steal 2nd, #30 Jacob watches the play.
A ball is hit to right field, but have no fear, Brandon is here, and puts it away for the out.	Well, Pitcher Schrom should have walked Jonathan Vest, but no -- Now, the consequences, Vest belts a Home run which cleared 450 feet. A Big boom. Here he comes home, where the Calallen Wildcats are ready to greet him. (See Vest in large picture above, belting the homer.)
Here is Randy #13 Houghton as he drills another base hit, and bringing on home another run in #9 Cory Shick who was a courtesy runner for Luke McCall's Walk.	Cory comes a-scoring, and high elbowing, high-fives, etc, etc.
John "Doc" Dickerson and family, check out the future Cheerleaders of the Calallen Wildcats.	"Adios" number 10, who just struck out. Chip is doing fairly well.
A hard liner is drilled to #30 Jacob Kaup, he scoops it, and tags First Base for the out. The batter is still out of view. Check Chip coming in to cover.	Credit Chip Nance with another Strike-out, and Luke is on his way to the inning debrief.
Guess what? Another Strike out for the Luke and Chip Show.	#22 Casey Alley strikes out again. Casey is like Vest, he can belt it out of the ball park at any given time. Chip and Luke are not afraid.
#5 Tyler Marrou swings and misses. The Wildcats were ahead 7-0.	Tyler Mickets is the new pitcher for Gregory-Portland.
Two future Wildcat basketball players: Conner Lowrance and Micheal Leal.	Catcher Luke McCall signals "One Out, Guys"! #11 just struck out.
Pop-up, Daniel Alonzo #21 runs under it, and takes it for the out.	#8 Brandon Key laughs as some of the Wildcats jokes about how he gets on base. He Walk.
Here is Jon, Pitcher Mickets pitches, and Jon drills a stand up double, and Sean Hoelscher and Brandon Key come in to score.	Brandon Key and Sean Hoescher score, and Sean picks up Jon Vest's bat.
At the plate, #21 Daniel Alonzo hits the ball in the hole ...,	And Jonathan comes in to score. In this evening game, Jon hit 2 of 4, and drove 3 runs in. Not too Shabby!
The Wildcats are on Fire, Luke McCall drills a base hit.	Jacob Kaup draws the Walk.
Here is #13 again, and again he belts the ball through the hole, and he finishes the evening with 3 hits of 4 attempts and drives in 4 runs...,	On this hit, he brings on home, Daniel Alonzo and #9 Cory Shick. Cory again? His third run tonight as a courtesy runner -- cool.
#17 Ryan Duke works the pitcher and draws the Walk.	The Wildcats score again. On deck and coming to the plate #2 Wes Callihan...,
Wes wastes no time, boom! He drills a stand-up double.	#17 Ryan Duke and #13 Randy Houghton come in to score. Real Wildcats 15 GP Wildcats 1.
Next pitcher for GP is #22 Casey Allen.	Colby Thomas and friends.
#29 Kyle Plumly gives it the good old college try, but misses, strike three.	#10 strikes out.
Melissa and Kellyn have a talk outside the dug-out.	Final score Calallen 15, Gregory-Portland 2. In 7 inning, not 8. I guess the scoreboard flips to the next inning automatically.
Abby formally of the Calallen Junior Varsity, now on the Varsity squad.	"Good game, fella -- not too bad yourself" Slap of high fives are heard.
