Calallen Wildcats on Friday, May 13, 2005, and at Pleasanton scored 18 big runs to One. Ryan Duke was the winning pitcher. On Saturday, May 14, 2005, the Wildcats and Eagles played an Awesome Defensive game, and the Wildcats triumped 2-0. Chip Nance pitched a super game, a one-hitter. He had a no-hitter going into the 7th Inning.

#1 Chip Nance fires a one hitter...,	and Chip had 8 strike-outs in the game.
Fine Greeting at the fence near the entrance gate --GO CATS! BEAT THE EAGLES! Awesome!	#4 Jonathan Vest drills a base hit -- Single!
Eagles's error, big time! when the pitcher tries to pick Jonathan off First Base, but instead overthrows the first baseman, and Senior Jonathan Vest sprints all the way to third base.	#4 Jonathan Vest slides across the home plate on the wild pitch thrown by Pitcher Shawn Travis. Wildcats lead 1-0, and would really be the only run they would need to capture the Area Championship Playoffs.
Looks like work what Jonathan did to score the first run, So Jacob takes the easy way out and clobbers the baseball over the 315' Fence in right field -- a solo home run!	Jacob comes on home, the California Kid, Jacob Kaup, senior, #30. Wildcats lead 2-0. That should be enough cushion for Pitcher Chip Nance.
Fine signal calling by catcher Luke McCall, Green #6 bites the dust.	Chip just keeps mowing 'em down, and letting his defense handle the balls that were hit. Jacob covers first base.
"Strike Three." screams the umpire, and #25 is outta here. Luke fires the baseball to Wes over at third.	Chip continues his fine form, and in a no-hitter mode for the time being. Now where did Jacob go?
Long after, we will forget what happened here, but for today, a full CHS Crowd is at hand and cheering for the fightin' Wildcats.	Wildcats Win! Wildcats Win Area Championship! 2-0, check Chip Nance allowed hit -- One. That's Cool! And Wildcats no errors, that's awesome!
The game post de-briefing, Cats won, no errors, allowed no Pleasanton Eagles to reach 2nd base, but rest assure, Coach Steve "State Champ" Chapman will elaborate on some aspect of the played game.	The other "C" Young man, not the California Kid, but the Calallen Kid. He drilled those pitches past the Eagles in the first Pleasanton game, and allowed 3 hits, and his offense back him up on day one, to the tune of 18-1. Fine Job, Ryan Duke, #17.

#13 Randy Houghton flies out. In the game, he flied out all three times at bat, however, that is lots better than standing there and not swinging at those strikes.	Nice catch for an out in the Wildcats' outfield.
In the 2nd Inning, the only action was a Walk to Tyler Marrou. Stranded on base.	Top of the 3rd, "Hasta Luego," number 9, who just struck out.
Strike Three! on Green #11, Luke is out of there, and to the inning debrief, he goes.	I believe this is Luke reaching first base.
And Luke will have a courtesy runner, #9 Cory Shick.	The California Kid gets his first of two Walks. Jacob made a believer of Eagle's Pitcher Shawn Travis that Jacob can belt the ball out of the park.
The CHS Fightin' Wildcats have the bases loaded, Alonzo on 3rd, Cory on 2nd and Jacob over on first, and the Wildcats were stranded on base. No score! That's will be discuss in the post game de-brief.	Randy and Ryan flied out to end the inning.
Jacob catches the popped-up ball over on first base area.	#8 Brandon Key Walks, the only action in the 4th inning. That's 4 Wildcats left on base in the last two innings.
We could have left 10 and it wouldn't matter, Chip Nance is firing a No-hit game through the first 6 innings. He is on fire! Another "Greenie, is Outta here."	The defense was immaculate, here Wes catches a pop-up, and earlier, a very hard liner to the hole of 3rd and Short-stop, he moves over, off balance, and scoops the ball and fires to First Base with plenty of time for the out. The Wildcats can do no wrong on defense.
Alonzo flies out.	Luke looks like he is safe, but, in my notes, I have him for out.
R.H. flies out again. Just keep swinging Randy, your time will come. Out #3 of the Wildcat's 5th Inning. 2-0 Wildcats.	Chips has another Strike-out, Greenie #9.
The hit by Justin Garza, in the 7th inning, Chip game changes status from no-hitter to one hitter, and the Wildcats bear down on the Eagle; A ground ball, thrown to Jacob in time for out #1.
Strike Three, out #2. and Seven strike-outs for Chip.	You're history, out #3, and strike-out #8 for #1 Chip Nance.
