The Thriller: Calallen Fightin' Wildcats.The Calallen High School, Class of 2005, baseball players in their final year, sweep Medina Valley, 2-0 -- Good luck and thanks for a fine season. Take it all the way to State!

Chip Nance on the mound. He fired a two-hitter and beat Medina Valley 4-0. He ups his W-L record to 9-2.	Chip lets loose with a fast ball...,
the umpire screams "Strike Three!" The Panther returns to his dug out.	Short stop Ryan Duke drills a base hit. Check the baseball heading toward the 400' center field area.
The first run of the game was Ryan Duke. It was Randy Houghton, #13 who base-hit and brought the Duke in to score.	Here is Randy after drilling a single, and bringing Ryan Duke in for the first run. Wildcats 1-0.
Behind the plate, the other dynamic duo, catcher senior Luke McCall.	#15 Tyler Marrou hits a Single to start some action, top of the 4th inning. Tyler started on First Base Today.
Chip Nance gets a base hit.	#8 Brandon Key draws the Walk
#4 Jonathan Vest hits the sacrificial Flyball, and...,	#15 Tyler Marrou comes on home to score. Wildcats 2-0.
The Calallen Kid find the hole and again rolls toward the center field and...,	Ryan Miller, Chip's courtesy runner, scores, and #8 Brandon Key slides on across the plate. Wildcats lead 4-0.
The designator hitter, Randy Houghton clouts his 2nd single, and could be over his slump.	Senior Luke McCalls drills the long, long and going, going and gone! Over the fence for a solo home run. Wildcats 5-0.
Luke non-chalantly rounds the bases. Here he is approaching 3rd base.	Good words and praises for the fightin' Wildcats during the Post Game De-briefing.

A hard drive to the left of first base, Tyler runs and scoops the ball fire to Chip Nance covering First Base, In Time ~ good back up by 2nd basement Cory Shick.	Cory scoops a hard hit grounder, runs to 2nd for one out on #7 senior Boone Holding, and then Cory, fired to first for the double play.
Panther #10 junior Miguel Hopkins is the 3rd Pitcher installed, and hoping to cool the Wildcats, but Luke McCool would drill one over the fence.	Base hit for #15 Tyler Marrou.
#4 Jarrett Zinsmeyer strikes out.	#5 Morgan Huegek is out #2, fine catch by Tyler Marrou.
#8 Brandon Key hauls in the ball for out #3 of the inning.
No, the game is not over, instead it is the bench welcoming Luke McCall home after blasting his solo home run.	#13 Randy Houghton gets his 4th straight base hit; that's why he is the designator hitter. Good choice.
These Calallen youngsters were enjoying the game; they are either middle school or freshmen students.	Chip Nance mowing down the opposition. The end is near.
Chip walks off the field non-chalantly.	Now the game is over, Coach Jon Irving is over congratulating the Panthers.
